Artist: Rose Staff, Limelight Academy

Projections nightly 6pm - 11pm

Rose Staff’s Transformation as Narrative morphs the surface of The Concourse into a spatial installation of light and sound. It explores the topics of metamorphosis and transformation through abstract geometry.

Metamorphosis can be seen as the transformation of being. In biology, it relates to a complete change of form through successive stages in the lifespan of an organism, such as the miraculous change of a caterpillar to butterfly.

In the same way, we can see that the identity of Chatswood is in a state of metamorphosis and transformation. Waves of immigration are changing the social fabric of the place as east meets west. This potent mix helps to invigorate the city and create cultural diversity as people from other parts of the world come and share their stories and their lives.

Transformation as Narrative plunges you into a mysterious colour field world. The illuminated spaces, like extras in a play, usher you out of your sanctuary towards their vibrant hues.
